Glad No Matter What !

SARK is asking us to answer.. How do we transform What Hurts Into What Helps?
Share one thing in your life that's challenging or difficult, and one thing that you're glad about that challenge or difficulty.

Here is Mine: Last Monday, I got a virus, Bell's Palsy, that made my face look like a I had a stroke. I freaked, and imagined, people would feel different about me. I know now, I am more than just my face. I am a spirit, in an earth-suit. People love me, still. I am so grateful. This experience has been a gift, my intention is to use this gift.... it feels even easier to reach out to others & hug them, and support them...
Thank you, God. Last Monday I thought I would never leave the house...today Sunday I am so grateful.

The Virtual Art Picnic with Leah Piken Kolidas

A beautiful friend, Leah Piken Kolidas designed the Virtual Art Picnic. Visit her delicious website at Creative Everyday

I asked her if I could expand on her idea and have a Real One! So our workshop will be outdoors!!

We shall

apples, pears, grapes, baguettes, brie, olives, proscuitto, fresh pineapple, brownies, kiwi, bananas, big refreshing bottles of water, marshmellows for roasting as it gets to the end of the evening..

We'll have a Giant sacred picnic blanket for sharing our dreams, our secrets, and our laughter, we'll bring a frisbee, a hula-hoop, some drums, some sunscreen, shades and our journals. We'll gather wildflowers and things of nature and use them in our delectable, delicious art pieces...

We'll provide many materials to create, we'll have paints, images, glitter, fabrics, stones, clay, charcoal, jewerly, chalk, ink, watercolour paint, wire, mod roc, pieces of colored glass, sugar paper, tissue paper.

New Life

I have been away for bit~ my honey-man & I call it..."going on walk-about". (a reference from the book "Mutant Message from Down Under" by Marlo Morgan)

It just means I have been on a spiritual quest..a time away from everything.

On July 2nd, my older bro, Joe ~ transitioned into the next life.

Grief & loss spun me around for a bit. Joe was a wise, gentle, quiet soul. I see him in every glint on the water, every butterfly that floats by and every sunrise..he lets me know..its Ok.

Our family came together, bonded by love and got closer, some I had not seen for 1 zillion years.

It truly was a gift.

I love that my friend, SARK, calls the Gifts of Death...G.O.D. ...very cool...

A baby shower I attended a few days ago, brought in all in to perspective for me...new life, new birth, new beginnings...

it's all good..

i am looking forward.

Forward to workshops, and coming to life, again.

Picnic delicious`

OH Crud! Poison IVY ... My partner, our 2 dogs & I went hiking and had a picnic lunch at a giant lake today. Guess what I brought home??? Crud...
Our dog, Maya, went traversing down a giant shear cliff, just to dive into the lake. My honey, climbed down too. It was really steep. 25 ft. down. I thought I might slide down too...

I thought about it for a minute...

Ah, no.......

And then suddenly, I had to "go". I couldn't hold it! I politely found a hidden bush that had my name on it. It was really cool, I was completely hidden inside the bush. I brought home the dreaded poison ivy, not in a scary place , just on my left ankle.

I am yippy skippy Happy to be out of school for summer. I intend to do some workshops, because I need to feel refilled and refueled. I love the magic that happens when women get together and shine the light of YES on each other!!

I will be sure and announce them here, and the dates, too!

Our workshop will be outdoors, and it shall be an ~ ART PICNIC ~
